Bank Accounts require no definition, however, with the growing number of different types that you can get, perhaps they do! This page will give you all of the different information you'll need on banking and bank accounts. Current Accounts Current Accounts are the most common accounts, with nearly everyone having one (or more!). They give you the lowest amount of interest on what is in the account, but do not charge you for taking it out. These accounts are ideal for money which will be spend and used the most. Savings Accounts Savings Accounts are designed for people to leave money in for a long amount of time. They charge a higher rate of interest, although require you to keep a certain amount of money in the account at all times. If you are intending on keeping money in a savings account for an even longer amount of time, you may receive an even higher rate of interest, although there will be charges for taking money out of the account, and you may have to give notice before doing so. |
